Hitch Mylius offer a broad range of products to suit a variety of needs for corporate and residential interiors. Classic in-house designs sit alongside furniture from well-known and established names, as well as the results of their collaborations with young designers.
Concerned about their production staff environment, Hitch Mylius embarked upon a project to provide a cleaner and healthier work place. Moving from solvent based spraying materials to water based materials helped but they still wanted better work conditions for their employees.
Their Health and Safety adviser suggested that they contact Hi-Tec Spray who he felt had the experience and knowledge of spray booth installation and could offer the cleaner environment that Hitch Mylius were seeking.
The Solution
The Maidstone branch of Hi-Tec Spray were contacted and following an initial sales specialist call, technical staff visited and created a proposal to meet the requirements of Hitch Mylius.
A new warehouse became available, which Hitch Mylius took advantage of, and the production and assembly shop moved to the new site. At the site, two dry filter spray booths were supplied with 1,000mm deep canopies complete with lighting for each booth. Compound beams were built within the roof of each booth canopy.
Electrically operated inlet Louvre complete with wall plate and external weather grille completed the system configuration.
The Result
"With the new warehouse and the installation of the spray booths our workflow improved considerably. In addition, not only did we improve our health and safety environment we also improved our production efficiency by some 15%", commented Robin Phillips, General Manager at Hitch Mylius.
"There were no hidden surprises or extras from Hi-Spray – their solution was clearly documented and we got exactly what was recommended at the quoted price", continued Robin.
Finally, Robin had some advice for would-be purchasers of spray equipment and booths. "When putting in a new system or process that you know little about, chose experts to help you. There were no frills with Hi-Tec Spray. They were clear in their proposal, true to their word and totally met our expectations. Oh! And nice people to do business with!"
